Alpha is an opportunity to explore questions of faith and life.
It’s a series of weekly sessions where you can explore the Christian faith in an open-minded and welcoming environment. There’s no cost and no pressure. Just lots of great conversation and a space to think.
What happens at Alpha?
Each session of Alpha includes food, a short talk and a discussion where you can share your thoughts about what you’ve heard.
Whatever ever questions you’ve got, you can ask them at Alpha.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. Each session is designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.
No question is out of bounds (seriously!) and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.
Alpha runs over eight weeks, on Wednesday nights at 7:30pm, with a Saturday away together at some stage in the middle.
The next Alpha kicks off on 8th May 2024.

Alpha is hosted at our St Andrew’s Church building on Sands Road, an 8 minute walk from Paignton town, and a 2 minute stroll from the Harbour.
Unfortunately, there’s not much on site parking available, but there is nearby street parking, as well as plenty of spaces in Station Lane car park, and along the nearby sea front.
