This is a space where you can find all of the relevant information about what’s coming up in the life of Bay Church, key messages we’d love for you to convey to your Group, and resources that you may want to engage with in your Group!

Sunday 28th April • Giving Sunday
Giving Sunday is our opportunity to prayerfully consider how we can each invest financially in seeing the vision of Bay Church become a reality.
Sunday 5th May • Alpha Sunday
We’ll hear some encouraging testimonies from previous Alpha stories,
Sunday 12th May • New Series of Talks: Master Builders
We’re excited to start a new series of talks which will take us through May and June, as we explore how we can build our lives on the solid foundations that Jesus spoke about in the Sermon on the Mount.
Sunday 19th May • All In for Pentecost & Baptisms
Pentecost is one of the high points of the year, as we celebrate the pouring out of the Holy Spirit on the first disciples, and the birth of the Church! To celebrate, Bay Youth and Bay Kids will all be in with us, as we baptise some wonderful people.
If anybody in your Group wants to be baptised, then please do help them to get in touch with me: gareth@bay.church.
Group Leader’s Gathering
Sunday 12th May • 2:00pm •Gareth & Athena’s House
We’re really looking forward to welcoming all Group Leaders to the next Group Leader’s Gathering on Sunday 12th May.
There will be plenty of tea and cake, before we spend some time being encouraged and envisioned by Matt, for our Groups and their crucial role in the life of the Church. We’ll then take time to discuss and pray with each other around the joys and challenges of leading a Group. (Kids are very welcome to join us and have fun playing with our kids by the way!)
Ultimately, my hope is that this gathering is a space where we can say a huge ‘thank you’, as well as investing in you and encouraging you as you lead in this remarkable way.
Vision Lunches

We’d love to invite everybody who calls Bay Church home, to our next round of Vision Lunches; even if you’ve been to a Vision Lunch before!
Our vision remains the same: to see Jesus loved, the Church alive and society transformed in Torbay and beyond. But the outworking of our vision has evolved wonderfully since the launch of the Church two years ago, and so we’d love to explore that together.
This will be a great opportunity to enjoy some delicious food, meet some new people and to explore the vision together.
Please do invite all of those in your Group to book on to one of the dates!
GROW in 2024
What does Grow look like in 2024?
After launching Grow towards the end of 2023, we’re aiming to make it a framework for discipleship which underpins much of what we do here at Bay Church as we grow together in 2024.
As such, here’s how I’d love Bay Groups to engage with Grow.
• If you haven’t yet worked through the Grow Booklet and ‘Exploring Grow’ Videos with your Group, then I’d really recommend working through them. There are four videos, which will help you to explore the content and framework of Grow across four Group meetings.
• If you’ve spent time exploring Grow together as a Group already, then please keep checking back in with each other. I’d love it if at least once a term: you and your Bay Group check in with each other on how your Grow habits are going! It might be best to devote one Group meeting each term to revisiting your Grow guides and exploring the content there together.

We’ve put together a number of video resources, to act as discussion starters for you and your Group. All four episodes can be found at the link below.

(The fortnightly pattern continues through half terms, but pauses and resets at the end of each term).
